As professionals in the legal field we spend more time in MS Word than most people. The following power tip will help you break through some of life’s daily formatting headaches and breeze through documents with ease.

I like to call this feature the ‘Magic Eraser’ a tool that will save you days over the course of a year. If you find yourself fighting with text, or need to reset formatting for an entire section this tool is your new best friend.

  1. Select the text or graphic that has the formatting you want to erase.
  2. If not already selected, click on the "Home" tab on your ribbon.
  3. In the "Font" section, there will be a "Clear Formatting" icon. It is a letter "A" with an eraser in front. Click it to erase the format.
